Five east-coast beaches we walk to.

The east coast of Phangan is where the quieter bays are. Most of them are within a 20-minute scooter ride from Lana Garden, and three of the five are walkable if you have the legs and a hat.

Than Sadet is the closest — small, with one restaurant and shaded by jungle. Thong Reng is the next over, reachable by a steep 10-minute path from the road. Bottle Beach (Haad Khuat) is on the far north, only reached by longtail; we book the boat for you.

Skip Haad Rin unless you want the party. Skip Salad Beach unless you want the resort crowd. Both are an hour away.
